Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to lead accounting operations across multiple entities in a fast-growing environment. The role partners with executive leadership to strengthen controls, streamline processes, and drive finance transformation.

The ideal candidate will balance hands-on daily duties with strategic projects, including system enhancements, audits, and staff development, in a dynamic organization.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required or active CPA with extensive accounting leadership experience.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience in multi-entity environments.
• Experience leading close processes, audits, and internal controls within US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-entity monthly/quarterly/annual close cycles and ensure accurate reporting.
• Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries for multiple entities.
• Mentor accounting staff and drive process improvements and ERP optimization.
• Coordinate external audits and support SOX/compliance activities.
• Assist with budgeting/forecasting and management reporting.
