Job summary

First Meridian Services, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead financial reporting across a complex food and beverage portfolio at Denver International Airport. You will direct a professional accounting team, strengthen close processes, and drive the transition from Microsoft Dynamics GP to Sage Intacct.

The role requires strong accounting judgment, executive presence, and the ability to present concise financial statements to senior leadership. A CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• CPA or CPA candidacy is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close for multiple entities.
• Review reconciliations, journal entries, and variances.
• Translate results and present to senior management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash planning.
• Manage ERP transition from Dynamics GP to Sage Intacct.
• Lead a team of 14 staff accountants and 2 senior accountants.
• Collaborate with operations and external tax preparers.
