Job summary

First Meridian Services, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead financial reporting across a diverse portfolio tied to Denver International Airport.

You will head a professional accounting team, strengthen close processes, and steer the company’s migration from Dynamics GP to Sage Intacct with robust controls and clear reporting. The role requires deep GAAP knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to present concise analyses to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• CPA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or corporate reporting is required.
• Minimum 5 years of successful people-leadership experience is required.
• Experience with multi-entity consolidations and intercompany eliminations is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close for multiple entities; establish a disciplined close calendar.
• Review reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, estimates, and variances; resolve reconciling items.
• Translate results into concise commentary for senior management and leadership.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash planning, and special projects.
• Lead ERP transition project (GP to Sage Intacct) including data validation and testing.
• Manage a team of 14 Staff Accountants and 2 Senior Accountants.
