Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business with Accounting emphasis.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience including financial reporting and general ledger accounting.
• 2+ years supervisory/management experience within an accounting or finance department.
• Demonstrated experience managing employees, delegating responsibilities, and overseeing accounting operations.
• Experience developing accounting procedures, implementing internal controls, and improving operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily, monthly, and year-end accounting operations.
• Provide direct leadership and supervision to accounting personnel to meet deadlines.
• Oversee preparation and review of monthly financial statements and schedules for upper management.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Review and approve account reconciliations across bank, fixed assets, accruals, and balance sheet accounts.
• Manage daily cash activity, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes for accuracy and timeliness.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to boost productivity and accuracy.
• Assign and prioritize departmental tasks; ensure adequate coverage of critical functions.
• Analyze financial information, investigate discrepancies, and propose corrective actions.
• Ensure policies and procedures support audits and compliance; coordinate with other departments.
