Job summary

Ruprecht-Company in Mundelein, IL seeks an Assistant Controller to lead day-to-day accounting for two food business units. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role owns close, controls, inventory, cost accounting, and audit execution, guiding the accounting team.

You will ensure U.S. GAAP compliance, develop policies, manage intercompany activity, and provide clear insights into cost drivers, variances, and working capital.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years progressive accounting experience
• Experience in food manufacturing or inventory-intensive business
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close for two units
• Own intercompany accounting and reconciliations
• Develop accounting policies and improve processes
• Oversee audit readiness and coordination
• Manage inventory and cost accounting, including landed cost
