Kilcoy Global Foods North America is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Mundelein, IL. You will oversee general accounting operations, ensure GAAP compliance, support financial reporting, and assist with audits to sustain financial integrity.

The role requires a bachelor’s in accounting/finance, 5+ years of accounting experience in food manufacturing or related industries, strong US GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with SAP or Oracle and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience, preferably in food manufacturing or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or similar) and advanced Excel.
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
• Assist month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes.
• Analyze financial data and variances to provide insights.
• Support audits with documentation and schedules.
• Develop and improve accounting policies and processes.
• Prepare sales tax, property tax filings, and other regulatory reports.
• Maintain integrity of financial records and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize reporting and efficiency.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
