Job summary

Ruprecht-Company is seeking a Plant Controller to lead the financial integrity of our Mundelein manufacturing facility. You will partner with plant leadership to drive profitability, improve cost visibility, and strengthen internal controls across budgeting, forecasting, and close processes.

The role requires strong cost accounting, plant-level reporting, and hands-on understanding of manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years in accounting/finance with manufacturing experience.
• Experience with plant cost accounting, standard costing, inventory controls, and margin analysis.
• Experience partnering with plant operations and influencing decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own plant-level financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and outlook processes including labor, overhead, and materials.
• Maintain standard costing, BOMs, routings, and variances; monitor material usage and yield.
• Analyze plant performance and translate data into actionable insights for leadership.
• Partner with Operations to improve productivity, labor utilization, throughput, and profitability.
• Oversee inventory accounting and controls including cycles counts and physical inventories.
• Develop internal controls over plant financial processes and support capital expenditure reviews.
• Prepare plant KPIs and management reporting on cost per unit, labor efficiency, and spending.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Supply Chain on cost analyses and sourcing decisions.
• Support new product introductions and make-vs-buy analyses as needed.
