Job summary

Polymarket is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to own US GAAP reporting and strengthen SOX controls as we scale in regulated fintech. Reporting to the Controller, you’ll manage close cycles, consolidate entities, and ensure accurate regulatory filings across subsidiaries.

You’ll apply ASC 606, ASC 805, and ASC 350-60 with independence, guide product launches and M&A accounting, and mentor junior staff while maintaining high standards of quality in a fast-moving crypto-enabled

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• 8–15 years accounting in banking, fintech, or regulated financial services.
• Hands-on with high-volume crypto settlements and fiat integrations.
• GAAP expertise across ASC 606, ASC 805, ASC 350-60, applied independently.
• SOX compliance experience with control design and maintenance.
• Experience with CFTC and US regulatory filings.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Big 4 management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close under US GAAP for multiple entities.
• Maintain and expand SOX controls as new product lines launch.
• Document GAAP conclusions for internal and external audiences.
• Collaborate with Controller, legal, and compliance on regulatory filings.
• Scope and implement accounting system improvements and workflows.
• Provide accounting guidance for new product launches and M&A.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and maintain high quality standards.
