Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC is seeking an Assistant Controller for the Corporate Finance team in Houston, TX. This hybrid role supports the Controller/Director in establishing accounting policies, budgeting, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred, and at least eight years in accounting with leadership experience; strong GAAP knowledge and Excel proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Eight years of accounting experience; five years in leadership.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily functions of the accounting department and oversee workflow.
• Assist with budgeting, regulatory reporting, and quarterly/annual filings.
• Provide timely GAAP-based financial reporting to senior management and auditors.
• Develop policies and processes to improve controls and efficiency.
