Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC seeks an Assistant Controller for our Houston corporate location in a hybrid 4:1 arrangement. You will assist the Controller/Director with budgeting, financial analysis, regulatory reporting, and GAAP/compliance tasks, delivering timely reports to senior management.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, a CPA is preferred, and at least eight years in accounting with leadership experience; strong MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or the equivalent education and/or experience.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Eight years of relevant and progressive experience in Accounting; five years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily functions of the applicable Accounting department, including planning, prioritizing, directing workflow, serving as a resource for questions, and interfacing with senior management.
• Assist the Controller/Director with budgeting, financial analysis, regulatory reporting, quarterly and annual filings, research, and other tasks as needed.
• Provide timely and accurate financial reporting services to senior management and regulatory authorities.
• Design, review, and recommend financial and accounting policies, processes, procedures, and technology to meet reporting requirements, improve efficiency, and safeguard corporate assets.
