Job summary

Southern Impression Homes seeks an experienced Assistant Controller to lead the monthly close, financial reporting, and audits. The role focuses on ASC 606 revenue recognition, construction accounting, and accounting process improvements while partnering with Operations, Construction, and leadership.

The ideal candidate will bring strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, CPA-preferred credentials, and extensive experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience including leading close and audits.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606.
Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is strongly preferred.
Excellent analytical and communication skills with executives and auditors.

Responsibilities

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with journal entries and reconciliations.
Prepare and analyze monthly financial reporting packages and variances.
Coordinate annual audit planning with external auditors and manage documentation.
Lead revenue recognition analyses and ASC 606 compliance.
Oversee contractor accounting activities including job costs and billings.
Develop and improve accounting policies, controls, and reporting templates.
Mentor and develop accounting staff to ensure accuracy and accountability.
