Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to oversee daily facility operations, ensuring safe, reliable MEP system performance and compliance in a 24/7 mission-critical environment.

You will supervise technicians, manage maintenance programs, review CMMS work orders, and coordinate procurement while maintaining safety standards and SOPs. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI are required or pursued.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in facilities maintenance with a high school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years trained and certified in BAS/EMCS/DDC operations and management.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience with office administration, plant management, reporting, blueprints, and OSHA codes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Project and MS Office; CMMS experience.

Responsibilities

• Support daily facility operations with safe, reliable MEP system performance.
• Supervise staff, enforce standards, and lead maintenance and emergency response.
• Review CMMS work orders and logs for accuracy and quality.
• Assist in planning and scheduling work to minimize disruptions.
• Coordinate procurement and inventory of spare parts and services.
• Oversee subcontractors performing maintenance or project work.
• Maintain SOPs and ensure safety compliance.
