Job summary

Walgreens is seeking an Asset Protection Manager to safeguard assets, people, customers and profitability across a defined territory. The role drives asset protection programs, reduces shrink, and ensures safety and security standards in retail and pharmacy operations.

The role conducts investigations, partners with store and district leadership, analyzes data, and guides field operations with strategic direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with loss prevention/asset protection and retail operations.
• 1+ year of experience analyzing, evaluating, or presenting information to support teams.
• Experience with business, financial and/or data analysis.
• Basic level in Excel, PowerPoint and Word as described in the job posting.
• Experience handling confidential information and meeting strict deadlines on multiple projects.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Applies knowledge of laws as they relate to team members and non-employees.
• Identifies and reports exposure to loss and minimizes risk.
• Maintains communication with store/district management and APS staff to meet loss targets.
• Manages third party guard training and scheduling.
• Oversees cross-functional communications to reduce shrink and protect profits.
• Reviews budgets and performs financial analysis of asset protection programs.
• Provides guidance to team members and ensures appropriate staffing and performance.
• Develops and mentors staff, promotes diversity and inclusion.
• Keeps knowledge of policies, auditing standards, and developments in Asset Protection.
• Travels within territory as needed to support the organization.
