Job summary

Central City Concern is seeking a Senior Asset Manager to guide the financial and physical health of its affordable housing portfolio in Portland. You will supervise a team of Asset Managers, shape long-term strategy, and advise senior leadership.

The role focuses on stability, mission impact, and cross-department collaboration. You will oversee debt and investor relations, ensure regulatory compliance, and present KPI reporting to internal and external audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible asset management experience, preferably in affordable housing, and some supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of asset management functions and federal, state and local guidelines related to affordable housing required.
• Project Management experience and/or certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel and data analysis tools required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of asset management staff to attain departmental goals.
• Lead cross team project management for process improvement impacting real estate portfolio operations.
• Develop and maintain year 15 buyout plans for the portfolio.
• Manage refinance processes, as applicable.
• Participate in enterprise-wide risk management and identify risks related to the portfolio.
• Manage third-party property management contracts and serve as primary contact.
• Review and evaluate lease terms for financial impact to CCC.
• Monitor capital accounts of investors.
• Develop turnaround/repositioning plans for properties.
• Advise across departments during pre-development, development and lease-up to ensure compliance.
• Monitor debt obligations and lender/investor requirements.
• Review documents related to Asset Management such as loan agreements and operating agreements.
• Develop KPI reporting for the portfolio and present to internal/external audiences.
• Research policy and legislation related to Asset Management and present recommendations.
• Advise senior leadership on real estate strategy per best practices.
• Collaborate with Facilities Management on capital planning and repairs.
