Job summary

Sequoia Living, Inc. is seeking an Asset Management Director for a 30-hour-per-week role guiding a three-property affordable housing portfolio. You will oversee financial performance, compliance, and capital planning while coordinating with property management and development teams.

You will report to senior leadership, monitor risk, and support due diligence for new developments and affiliations, with a focus on long-term asset sustainability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in affordable housing asset management, real estate portfolio management, housing finance, or development.
• Knowledge of LIHTC, PBV, Section 8, regulatory compliance, partnership structures, and reserve management.
• Strong financial analysis skills, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, occupancy, delinquency, and cash-flow analysis.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Affordable Communities property management provider and oversee asset performance.
• Provide reporting and recommendations to executive leadership, including financial and compliance metrics.
• Guide annual budgeting, monitor occupancy and delinquency trends, and oversee reserves for long-term sustainability.
• Oversee compliance with management agreements and regulatory obligations; support tax credit compliance and investor relations.
• Support due diligence for new developments and affiliations, including market analysis and risk assessment.
