Job summary

CHAI: Comprehensive Housing Assistance, Inc. seeks a Senior Asset Manager to oversee affordable housing portfolios, focusing on performance, financial analysis, long-term planning, and compliance.

You will partner with property management, lenders, regulators, and internal teams to preserve and optimize assets. This role emphasizes strategic thinking, risk management, and preservation planning, with responsibilities spanning budget review, capital planning, and reporting to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Business Admin, or related field.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in affordable housing asset management or related real estate.
• Knowledge of HUD, LIHTC, PRAC, HOME, or similar affordable housing programs and regs.
• Strong financial analysis skills, including budgets, variance analysis, cash flow, and capital planning.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience working with third-party property management, lenders, investors, auditors, and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Analyze monthly financial statements, occupancy, delinquency, budgets, compliance indicators.
• Oversee third-party property management performance and set expectations.
• Lead asset management meetings and monitor progress on identified issues.
• Support capital planning, reserve management, refinancing, and preservation efforts.
• Coordinate reporting to lenders, investors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct property visits and collaborate with partners to support portfolio performance.
