Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is seeking an Accounting Senior Analyst to support fixed asset and capital expenditure processes, lease accounting, and broader corporate accounting activities. You will engage in month-end close, financial reporting, and internal control enhancements while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the organization.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel and data analysis skills, and a proactive process-improvement mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, fixed assets, audit, or related fields.
• Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis, and process automation.
• Strong analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with fixed asset accounting, capital project accounting, or capitalization policy application preferred.
• Experience with lease accounting under ASC 842 is a plus.
• Large public accounting experience in audit, advisory, controls, or compliance is a plus.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP PRD or other large manufacturing ERP systems is a plus.
• CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support fixed asset lifecycle oversight, including asset creation, transfers, retirements, and capitalization activities by a third-party shared services team.
• Review and monitor capital expenditure activity for capitalization, reporting, and policy compliance.
• Partner with manufacturing facilities, corporate departments, and finance leadership on capital projects and fixed asset accounting matters.
• Assist in the preparation, review, and maintenance of fixed asset accounting controls, policies, and procedures.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses.
• Assist with lease accounting processes, including recurring entries, reconciliations, reporting, and ASC 842 compliance.
• Prepare and tie-out disclosures and supporting schedules for SEC filings, including lease disclosures.
• Develop and maintain process documentation for training, cross-functional support, and continuity of operations.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to support SOX compliance and control testing.
• Participate in strategic initiatives and special projects within Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting.
