Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting or related field; equivalent work experience
• 4 years of recent accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC, and FERC requirements
• Knowledge of financial analysis and internal controls
• Knowledge of SAP
• Knowledge of Power Plan software
• Knowledge of Utility ratemaking
• CPA or equivalent or substantially complete
• Public Accounting experience
• Excellent research and issue resolution skills
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge in technical/professional concepts
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform

Responsibilities

• Participate in day-to-day accounting operations to meet monthly deadlines
• Maintain internal controls and review areas for policy compliance
• Research GAAP and regulatory guidance for appropriate accounting treatment
• Prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations, roll-forwards and variance analyses
• Collaborate to develop and enforce departmental policies
• Lead process improvements and financial reporting tools
• Develop expertise in the capital asset life cycle and related accounting
• Coordinate with management, Tax, Regulatory and business units
• Ensure integrity of financial statement portions through analytics
• Tackle special projects as assigned
