Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) is seeking an Expert Operations Data Analyst to support EC Distribution maintenance strategy, data modeling, and executive reporting. This hybrid role emphasizes analytics, data engineering, and stakeholder collaboration across teams.

You will build tools, validate plans, extract data, and deliver insights to leadership with a focus on accuracy, regulatory alignment, and cross-functional influence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, data science, computer science, STEM, engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Six years of job-related experience.
• Master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Eight years of job-related experience is preferred.
• Background in asset management is desirable.
• Familiarity with Python, Palantir Foundry, SAP, Power BI, SQL, Microsoft Office, CoPilot is advantageous.
• Expertise with statistical methods and concepts.
• Familiarity with utility operations.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Advanced project management and cross-functional influence is valued.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a team lead and provides direction to less experienced employees.
• Analyzes data using advanced statistical tools to develop ad hoc reports, statistics, trends and profiles.
• Demonstrates and uses broad expertise in data processing and analysis across multiple issues.
• Designs data analyses to achieve business objectives; creates automated reporting routines and ensures data quality.
• Develops comprehensive reports and communicates actionable data analyses for clients.
• Manages complex data analysis projects from request to presentation, within time and budget.
• Performs data extracts and transfers from databases to analysts for operational analysis.
• Proposes new data sources and improved data processes for better analytics.
• Collaborates with Managers and Directors to support quantitative decision-making.
