Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of public accounting or equivalent utility accounting experience.
• Excellent writing skills and ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of 10-Q and 10-K workpapers.
• Lead preparation of financial statements for other reporting projects (e.g., FERC, CPUC, benefit plan, NDT) and supporting workpaper documentation.
• Communicate with Legal, Investor Relations, and Company FP&A to gather information and ensure consistency of information reported externally.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key business partners to gather information for complete disclosures.
• Identify and lead process improvements to reduce risk and improve efficiency.
• Assist analysts and senior analysts in identifying areas for process improvement.
• Lead resolution of complex accounting/disclosure issues and provide guidance.
• Educate business on accounting topics and communicate issues to management.
• May manage cross-functional initiatives and work with Directors and Managers to influence decisions.
