Job summary

FormFactor, Inc. is seeking an Assembler to precisely assemble complex electronic and electro-mechanical systems.

The role requires working with extremely small, delicate components under microscopes, following detailed work instructions, and ensuring high-quality results. The assembler will read schematics, BOMs, and diagrams, maintain accuracy, and mentor others as needed in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of related experience in soldering/assembly.
• Ability to read BOMs, schematics, and work instructions.
• Excellent dexterity and attention to detail for high-tolerance components.

Responsibilities

• Operate laser-cutting equipment per procedures to cut polymer membranes and components.
• Assemble polymer membranes onto electronic probes, including attachment, fixtures, curing, and timing.
• Attach miniature, multi-material components with screws, adhesives, and alignment tools.
• Support assembly tasks to maximize throughput based on build requirements, cure times, and due dates.
• Read, interpret, and follow BOMs, schematics, diagrams, and written work instructions.
• Perform simple calculations, including tolerance stack-ups, to evaluate component fit and performance.
