Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor Degree, MBA preferred, 8+ years in manufacturing and at least 3 years supervising salaried production staff, with Lean Manufacturing experience and coachable leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in related discipline required.
• MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience supervising salaried employees in a manufacturing environment.
• At least three years of Lean Manufacturing experience required.
• Ability to train, coach and mentor a team of salaried production supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic vision for areas of responsibility.
• Responsible to communicate goals for support groups. (i.e. Engineering, Human Resources, Supply Chain, etc.)
• Accountable for area’s safety, quality, delivery and financial performance.
• Responsibility and ownership of manufacturing performance metrics and develops continuous improvement action plans.
• Participate in the creation of new policies and assist in the deployment of new employee related policies.
• Monitors capacity to meet the requirements of existing and projected customer programs.
• Responsible for manufacturing input to appropriate cross-functional teams for customer interaction and customer complaint response (8D).
• Provides guidance on daily activities as necessary to support production.
• Coordinates with other functional managers in planning and implementing Quality, Human Resources and Manufacturing programs.
