Job summary

Metric Geo in Burlington, NJ seeks an Assembly/Production Manager to oversee daily shop floor operations and a skilled team. You will own production scheduling, material flow, and project execution, ensuring assemblies meet quality standards and deadlines.

You will work hands-on on the shop floor, resolve issues in real time, and drive continuous improvement across workflows. Strong experience interpreting 3D drawings and BOMs, plus ERP/MRP familiarity, is required to succeed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on manufacturing experience.
• 3+ years in a shop-floor supervisory or management role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
• Proficiency interpreting 3D assembly drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Experience working with ERP, MRP, and/or inventory management systems.
• Strong leadership and real-time problem-solving on a fast-paced production floor.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily assembly operations, managing production queues and staffing.
• Coordinate production schedules and material flow to meet deadlines.
• Ensure quality standards and project requirements are met on time.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement workflow improvements.
• Apply lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
• Enforce safety procedures and maintain a clean, compliant shop floor.
• Oversee first-piece and final quality inspections.
• Read and interpret 3D drawings and BOMs.
• Collaborate with engineering and purchasing to resolve issues.
• Receive and inspect incoming materials against POs and project needs.
• Coordinate packaging and shipping with Logistics.
