Job summary

Daimler Truck North America seeks a Manufacturing Assembly Process Engineer (L6) to develop, implement, and improve assembly manufacturing processes across DTNA operations. This hands-on role requires coordinating cross-functional teams, solving complex manufacturing problems, and managing projects from concept through implementation with a focus on safety, quality, cost, and schedule.

The position is hybrid in Portland, OR, offering a starting salary of $86,000 to $110,000 USD, with benefits

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 2–4 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience leading projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience supporting launches, process improvements, or capital projects.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve assembly manufacturing processes.
• Support safety-critical manufacturing systems, tooling, assembly processes, automation, and controls.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and resources.
• Coordinate with Design Eng., Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and other teams.
• Document lessons learned and share improvements across plants.
