Job summary

Gables Search Group in Montello, WI seeks a Production Manager to lead our client’s assembly operations. The role emphasizes assembly leadership, lean practices, Six Sigma, and cross‑functional collaboration to improve productivity and safety.

The ideal candidate has extensive manufacturing management experience, strong data analysis skills with Excel, and a BS in Operations Management (or equivalent). You will drive scheduling and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years experience in manufacturing management with a focus on assembly operations.
• Experience with lean manufacturing techniques such as 5S.
• Proficiency in data analysis using Microsoft Excel for reporting and decision-making.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• BS in Operations Management or equivalent experience is strongly encouraged.
• Experience with Six Sigma and lean management for process improvements.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles including logistics and inventory control.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily assembly operations to meet production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Implement and sustain lean manufacturing practices to eliminate waste and enhance process efficiency.
• Analyze production data using Microsoft Excel and supply chain analytics tools to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for process improvement.
• Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, quality control, procurement, and supply chain personnel to ensure seamless workflow.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Six Sigma methodologies and lean management techniques.
• Manage production planning and scheduling activities to align with demand forecasts and capacity constraints.
• Monitor KPIs related to productivity, quality, safety, and cost control; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Facilitate effective communication across departments to ensure alignment on production goals and operational changes.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies within the plant environment.
