Job summary

Connect Search, LLC is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Assembly in Milwaukee. The role focuses on leading assembly line improvements, qualifications documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize yield and cycle times.

The candidate will manage CAPA investigations, SOP updates, and engineering changes while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating handoffs between NPD and Production. On-site work Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• 7 to 15 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience in mechanical/electromechanical assembly.
• Led new process introductions from quote through first article, validation, and release to production.
• Authored and maintained PFMEAs, control plans, and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor station-level performance (yield, scrap, rework, cycle time).
• Triage and resolve on-floor fit, fastening, and fixture issues; support troubleshooting escalations.
• Lead improvement projects such as line balancing and fixture upgrades.
• Own engineering change requests and assess impact on downstream stations.
• Update work instructions and PFMEAs as processes evolve.
• Mentor engineers and oversee operator training and certification.
