Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Texas to lead assembly process design, fixture and tooling development, and material flow systems that transform prototypes into scalable production lines.

The role champions waste and variation reduction, mentors engineers, and drives improvements in cycle time, yield, and ergonomics across assembly areas, with a focus on repeatable, manufacturable processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering required.
• Advanced Technical or Business degree beneficial.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role with exposure to engine, genset, electric motor, or precision electromechanical assembly operations.
• Ownership of assembly line and cell design from concept layout through qualified production use.
• Experience designing, building, qualifying, and iterating fixtures, jigs, and tooling.
• Experience taking prototype and low-volume builds to repeatable production processes.
• Familiarity with business case drivers and value creation for options.
• Aerospace or precision manufacturing experience preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Owns end-to-end assembly value streams: line/station design, fixtures, material handling, and process qualification.
• Sets technical standards for assembly processes and documentation across the organization.
• Mentors and reviews designs for other manufacturing engineers.
• Drives measurable improvements in cycle time, first-pass yield, labor content, and ergonomics.
