Job summary

Htprof, a key player in heavy equipment manufacturing, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement processes on the manufacturing floor in Milwaukee. You will bridge design engineering and production, introducing products, refining lines, and driving lean practices to cut costs and improve safety.

The role emphasizes improving quality and throughput, reducing waste, and maintaining production capability across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering required; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5–12 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a large assembly operation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced production environment.
• Proficiency with 2D & 3D CAD (Siemens NX preferred) and common Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, support, and lead the introduction of products to the manufacturing floor and integrate new processes.
• Lead setup of assembly lines and document handoffs from design to production.
• Develop Operation Method Sheets for efficient assembly.
• Drive Lean and continuous improvement to reduce waste and cost.
• Lead safety, ISO compliance, and ergonomic initiatives.
• Assist with line/cell layout, tooling, and part flow improvements.

As the link between design engineering and the production floor you provide the manufacturing expertise needed to implement the production of new products as well as processing changes to existing products. This position is responsible for maintaining production capability, improving quality, reducing cost, improving safety, and maximizing throughout. This position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

What you will be doing:

• Plan, support, and lead introduction of products to the manufacturing floor. Manages the integration of new products into existing lines with an understanding of new processes that affect online balance, pFMEA, and line efficiency.
• Take the lead on setup assembly line, establish processes and documentation bring mobile equipment products from design hand-off to completion
• Lead the development of Operation Method Sheets (i.e. how best to assemble products)
• Uses advanced understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement concepts needed for reduction of waste within manufacturing processes
• Lead initiatives that mitigate risk, maintain ISO compliance, and reduce costs
• Lead design initiatives within the manufacturing process, including line / cell layout, tooling and part flow
• Capital equipment justification
• Work to advance safety and ergonomic practices

What they are looking for

• BS Engineering, a master’s would be great
• 5 to 12 years of experience in manufacturing engineering in a large assembly operation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with multiple projects at one time
• Proficient computer skills including 2D & 3D CAD (Siemens NX would be great), Word, Excel, and Access
