Job summary

AUTOKINITON in Plymouth, Michigan is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead assembly process meetings, maintain tooling, and update timing charts. This full-time role reports to the Engineering Manager and drives continuous improvement across production tooling.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Engineering, 6+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience, and proficiency with CAD (UG, Catia, Autodesk).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum six years of hands‑on manufacturing experience.
• Experience in metal joining processes (MIG, resistance welding, clinch fasteners, stamping).
• Strong troubleshooting, lean manufacturing knowledge, and APQP familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead assembly process meetings and maintain tooling; update timing charts.
• Monitor tool uptime/downtime and prioritize tasks.
• Support customer and internal meetings, project reviews, and cross-functional launches.
• Manage tool engineering changes and APQP procedures.
