Job summary

SP Industries Inc. seeks a Department Lead to manage parts, subassemblies, and complete units by coordinating people, materials, tools, and equipment to meet Work Order specifications for quality, cost and delivery. Responsibilities include leadership, safety, training, and reporting to management.

The role requires supervising daily operations, maintaining records, and driving improvements while ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to safety policies in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial or electrical equipment manufacturing is a plus.
• Basic working knowledge of electricity and electromechanical equipment.
• Electro-mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean and orderly workplace.
• Train, coach, and support employees to perform work safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of manufacturing activities for management.
• Identify and encourage improvement opportunities and report discrepancies to management.
• Oversee production, set priorities, and assist with setups, quality and production tasks.
• Ensure department safety, equipment maintenance, and adherence to PPE requirements.
• Provide timely feedback and participate in performance reviews.
