Job summary

Powell is seeking a Senior Assembler in Houston, TX to oversee the assembly of switchgear and breakers per engineering drawings. You will lead a small team, perform in-process inspections, and ensure adherence to quality standards and production deadlines.

You will train junior assemblers, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to improving assembly procedures while maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Senior Assembler Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a Senior Assembler to join our team at our facility located in Houston, TX, 77075.OverviewPowell is an engineered to order manufacturer of switchgear and electrical equipment for the power generation industry. A Senior Assembler is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the assembly process of various products. They work closely with a team of assemblers to ensure that products are assembled correctly and efficiently, meeting quality standards and production deadlines. The Senior Assembler may also provide guidance and training to junior assemblers, troubleshoot any assembly issues, and assist in the development and improvement of assembly procedures. They play a crucial role in maintaining a smooth assembly process and ensuring the overall quality of the finished products.
