Torrey Holistics in Houston, TX, is seeking a Manufacturing Assembler to join a team assembling mechanical components for switchgear and breaker units according to engineering drawings and customer specifications.

The role requires reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, and performing in-process inspections to ensure quality. A High School diploma and 2–4 years of manufacturing experience are preferred. Safety and ISO adherence are emphasized.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read a tape measure (conversions fractional/decimal; metric/imperial).
  • Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

  • Build and assemble mechanical components per drawings/specs using given documents.
  • Perform in-process inspections and identify quality risks.
  • Identify and track shortages.
  • Assist in root cause analysis on engineering changes.
  • Lead a small team to complete tasks.
  • Perform final in-process inspections and mechanical adjustments.
  • Promote safety and attend safety meetings.

They follow blueprints, work instructions, or diagrams to assemble products using various tools and equipment. Assemblers may work in manufacturing or production environments and may be required to perform quality checks and ensure that products meet specifications. They may also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area and reporting any issues or defects to supervisors.
