Job summary

Americold is seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician III for our cold storage facilities. The role focuses on independent maintenance and repair of automated storage and retrieval systems, with emphasis on advanced preventive maintenance, troubleshooting of PLCs, 3-phase electrical systems, and HVAC-related components within a cold environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience on ASRS or equivalent systems within cold storage.
Proficient in preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of 3-phase electrical systems.
Proficient with PLC systems and programming concepts.
Familiar with CMMS systems and maintenance records.
Knowledge of lubrication, power transmission, hydraulics and pneumatics.
Understanding of electrical safety incl. arc flash and LOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on ASRS pallet handling equipment.
Troubleshoot 3-phase electrical systems, VFDs, servo drives and PLCs.
Program/configure barcode scanners and label systems; manage light curtains.
Conduct modular overhauls and update maintenance records.
Maintain work area cleanliness and safety compliance; participate in on-call rotations.
