Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an ASIC & FPGA Engineer to lead technical programs across multiple space initiatives. Based in multiple sites including Sunnyvale, King of Prussia, Denver, and Highlands Ranch with a flexible 9x80 schedule.

You will manage a team, drive architecture and verification efforts, and deliver results within schedule/budget targets while mentoring engineers and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in ASIC/FPGA design, debug, or verification.
• US Citizenship required for DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing team of up to 7 people, prioritizing and allocating tasks for successful project execution.
• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, ensuring results within +/- 10% of schedule and budget.
• Monitor and manage team workloads, tracking progress and ensuring clear communication with project engineers and managers.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence through mentorship and guidance on architecture, code, and best practices.
• Balance hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, ensuring project oversight is maintained.
• Review and release all work products to agreed quality standards.
• Collaborate with teams to identify and scope new opportunities and support completed work.
• Perform advanced chip architecture work for new programs.
• Prepare regular status reports and materials for operations reviews.
• Assist manager in reviewing project plans and technical proposal development.
