Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an ASC 740 Experienced Senior Associate to support the preparation and review of income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 under U.S. GAAP. You will apply tax accounting knowledge to complete accurate tax provision calculations, documentation, and reporting, while addressing complex issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics, required OR Bachelor's degree in other focus area and CPA certification, required
• Master's in Accountancy or Taxation, preferred
• Experience in preparing and auditing ASC 740 computations for both privately held and publicly traded clients, required
• Three or more years of prior tax experience and/or public accounting or consulting with ASC 740 focus, preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepares and reviews income tax provisions in compliance with ASC 740
• Analyzes and documents uncertain tax positions and related disclosures
• Assists with the preparation and review of tax footnotes for financial statements
• Collaborates with clients to gather necessary data and resolve provision-related questions
• Supports implementation of process improvements and best practices within ASC 740
• Provides technical guidance and training to junior staff
• Coordinates with audit teams to support the tax provision audit process
• Researches and interprets tax laws and regulations as they relate to ASC 740
