Spiro is hiring ahands-on, conceptually driven Senior Art Directorto join our Creative team. The Senior Art Director has a strong passion for experiential designand the ability to storytell visually, integrating copy, visual treatments, design, and brand intent to create a holistic experience for our client and their audiences. This role is for avisionary thinker—someone who can dream upbig, bold ideas and transform them intovisually compelling, immersive brand experiences.

  • Lead the visual direction and concepting for high-impact, immersive brand activations, leadership and corporate events and live experiences.
  • Work closely with Creative Directors, Copywriters, Strategists, Designers, and Account teams to bring ideas to life, making conceptual and stylistic decisions.
  • Craft immersive brand activations, environments, and live experiencesthat visually tell a compelling story.
  • Push creative boundaries and ensure all visual communication aligns with brand strategy and visual guidelines, audience engagement goals, and event objectives.
  • Create visual directions through written treatments, visual layouts, mockups, and prototypes required to illustrate your concepts to team members and the client.
  • Understand client business objectives and audience insightsto develop creative solutions that are both engaging and meaningful.
  • Ensuredesign excellence with a deep understanding of how visuals and storytelling drive impact.
  • Review and refine all creative assetsbefore delivery, oversee and manage creative execution, ensuring quality, innovation, and consistency across all deliverables.
  • Incorporate ideas and make revisions in response to the feedback and criticisms of clients and team members in a business-like, open-minded manner. Possess the presence and experience to interface at the executive level, developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Stay aware of competitor work to inspire fresh, innovative design and concepts.
  • Be dialed into the latest trends – always scouting the latest marketing moves, trend drops, and cutting-edge tech that’s shaping experiential marketing.

Qualifications

  • Concept-first creative with 7+ years of experience in an event, advertising, or experience design agency with a minimum of 2 years leading projects.
  • Strong visual ideation, with a sharp eye for design and execution
  • Proven ability to come up with cutting-edge concepts and executions
  • Proficient in Mac OS, Adobe Creative Cloud (Expert knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign), SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (or Keynote).
  • Proven ability totake an idea from the initial spark to full executionacross multiple platforms and touchpoints.
  • Strongtime management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects while maintaining high creative integrity.
  • Client-facing confidence—able to sell ideas, articulate creative rationale, and inspire stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills—verbal, written, visual presentation, and meeting facilitation—in both individual and group settings.
  • Understanding of human behavior and audience/attendee demographics.
  • Must be a creative individual with strong interpersonal skills—reliable, driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to manage the everyday details of a project while focusing on the highest quality result. Experience in managing small and large projects from inception to project closeout with a strong ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime, as needed.
  • Ability to travel to meet with clients for meetings, site visits or presentations.

In general, you can expect to have an initial phone interview with our talent acquisition team and thereafter video interviews with team members and your future manager.
