Job summary

The Houston Rockets at Toyota Center seek a Sr. Broadcast Engineer to oversee day-to-day operations and maintain the broadcast infrastructure for NBA and special events.

You will support Rockets home games, Comets home games, and select third-party events, coordinating with the video production team on workstation support and DLC network storage. Responsibilities include operating broadcast and post-production tech, managing live video systems, and ensuring seamless transmission for all

Qualifications

  • 5+ years supporting broadcast-quality infrastructure in a large stadium/arena.
  • 5+ years maintaining broadcast television or production equipment.
  • 5+ years maintaining non-linear editing systems.
  • 2+ years working in SMPTE 2110 environment.
  • 2+ years of experience with network infrastructures and shared storage systems.
  • Willing to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain broadcast, production and post-production technology.
  • Video playback, replay, CG, KVM, router, multiviewers, production switcher and monitoring.
  • Broadcast cabling and 15+ non-linear workstations support.
  • Troubleshoot operations and Toyota Center needs.
  • Collaborate with IT and A/V to achieve organizational broadcasting goals.
  • Ensure TV and radio broadcast coverage for Rockets/Comets games and Toyota Center events.
