Are you an experienced sales professional passionate about building strong customer relationships and driving results?
GE Appliances is looking for a Senior Area Sales Manager to join our Air & Water team. In this role, you’ll lead sales efforts across the NY/Northern NJ territory, supporting the growth of our innovative Air & Water product portfolio. You will work closely with distributors, contractors, and internal partners to strengthen relationships and expand our reach.

How You'll Create Possibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Sales Initiatives: Prospect, recruit, and onboard new plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (PHVAC) wholesale distributors.
- Grow the Territory: Drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing customer partnerships.
- Collaborate Strategically: Partner with national account teams and third-party representative firms to execute a targeted regional sales strategy.
- Enhance the Customer Experience: Deliver customer-specific programs, resolve issues efficiently, and foster trust and long-term engagement.
- Communicate Product Value: Lead training sessions and product demonstrations to communicate the advantages of GE Appliances' Air & Water solutions.
- Utilize Data Effectively: Use reporting and analysis tools to track performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Manage Partnerships: Provide leadership and alignment for the Region’s third-party manufacturing representatives.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of relevant sales experience, ideally in the plumbing or HVAC industry (either vendor or distributor side).
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time throughout the NY/Northern NJ Region.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience creating and executing strategic territory growth plans.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset with a drive to meet goals and overcome challenges.
Additional Details:
- This is a remote role based in the NY/Northern NJ area.
- At least 50% travel is required.
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
