Overview

This role reports to the Commercial Vice President, TA Instruments, and manages sales and regional marketing/demand generation teams. Responsibilities include strategic planning, performance management, and achieving sales targets. The position can be based anywhere in the US.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop a 3-year commercial strategy aligned with TA's goals.
  2. Create accurate sales forecasts and performance goals.
  3. Oversee staffing, training, and performance evaluations.
  4. Engage with key clients and support sales negotiations.
  5. Manage marketing and inside sales activities.
  6. Align Field Scientific operations with customer needs.
  7. Optimize regional processes and control expenditures.
  8. Monitor competitors and participate in trade shows.
  9. Assign territories, develop quotas, and plan compensation.
  10. Analyze market data to inform strategy.
  11. Contribute to product development discussions.
  12. Build and develop a high-performing team.
  13. Use data tools like SFDC and Power BI for decision-making.
  14. Manage project goals efficiently and cost-effectively.
  15. Communicate expectations and coach team members.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or related fields; MBA or master's preferred.
  • 10+ years in managing technical sales teams.
  • Strong commercial strategy and forecasting skills.
  • Experience with analytical instrumentation industry preferred.
  • Leadership skills fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Effective change management and public speaking skills.

Salary range: $191,500 - $255,000 annually, depending on experience and location.
