Job summary

HDR is seeking an Area Power Delivery Lead in Round Rock, TX. You will lead and mentor project teams, drive growth with large-scale Power Delivery clients, and provide technical leadership to ensure high-quality deliverables.

You will collaborate across HDR for staff development, manage risks, and advance market presence through marketing and proposals. You will engage with business leaders, travel to sites, and contribute to a culture of inclusion and employee ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Master's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Sciences, Business Administration, or related field is a plus.
• PE license is preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of Power Delivery or T&D design experience.
• Strong client management, marketing and business development skills with large-scale Power Delivery clients.
• Experience with managing staff, clients, contracts and hiring staff for an engineering consulting firm is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, direct, mentor, train, and/or supervise project execution teams.
• Provide SME for Power Delivery marketing/proposal efforts and client development.
• Provide technical leadership and project management oversight to ensure staff and quality.
• Collaborate with HDR resources to build capabilities through recruitment and staff training.
• Identify and mitigate project execution risks (contracts, staffing, schedules, safety, quality).
• Promote involvement in business/community activities as HDR representative.
• Encourage IEEE standards development and emerging technologies (IEC-61850, smart drawings).
• Serve as client liaison with business development leaders.
• Willing to travel to offices, visit project sites, and attend client meetings.
