Job summary

Right At School is seeking a Senior Area Manager to lead multiple in-school enrichment and childcare programs across markets in Kentucky. You will oversee 1-3 Area Managers, drive program quality, safety standards, and profitability while partnering with districts and central teams.

You will ensure licensing compliance, implement standardized procedures, and promote programs at schools and community events. The role requires travel to local markets and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 3+ years of professional work experience in childcare, retail or related industry.
• 2+ years of experience managing multi-unit business.
• At least 2 years of direct P & L experience.
• Knowledge of child care licensing regulations preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and foster teamwork.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask, prioritize work and manage deadlines.
• Must possess excellent judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to travel as needed to visit field programs within local markets as well as markets of Area Manager direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of 1-3 Area Managers to ensure program quality and safety, and optimize operations.
• Support program team members to execute all aspects of programming in assigned areas.
• Ensure licensing compliance through onsite visits and partnerships with licensing agencies.
• Drive curriculum implementation and high-quality program delivery across markets.
• Maintain direct profit and loss responsibility for assigned programs.
• Promote Right At School programs at schools and community events, building relationships with administrators and PTA.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external partners to support program success.
