Job summary

International Paper in Bogalusa, LA is seeking an Area Maintenance Manager to supervise multidisciplinary teams and ensure maximum equipment reliability. This on-site role commands a salary in the $125,000–$135,000 range, with responsibilities spanning budgeting, planning, and maintenance strategy.

You will lead maintenance operations with a focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery. A Bachelor's in Engineering or 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience is preferred, including paper

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 5+ years of industrial/maintenance experience.
• Paper Mill experience and process knowledge.
• Mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation system knowledge.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet customer needs.
• Experience with 5 Whys or RCFA training.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proactive follow-up and accountable leadership.
• Sound decision-making based on analysis, experience, and judgment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, Teams, SAP, TRAKS.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop multidisciplinary managers and teams.
• Coordinate maintenance work to maximize reliability within budget and timelines.
• Maintain and improve preventive/predictive maintenance systems and ensure safe corrective work.
• Prioritize tasks and schedule jobs effectively.
• Participate in maintenance budgeting and strategic planning.
• Inspect repairs and observe test runs for safe operations.
• Maintain relationships and plan at the leadership level.
• Develop employees through conflict resolution and change management.
