Job summary

International Paper is seeking a Maintenance Manager in Charlotte, NC to lead a 24/7 maintenance team and drive reliability and cost efficiency across plant equipment and facilities.

You will supervise personnel, coordinate preventive maintenance, and work with vendors to achieve targets while upholding safety and housekeeping standards. A strong background in corrugated packaging maintenance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of maintenance and leadership experience in a manufacturing plant.
• College and/or related technical courses preferred.
• Five years of experience in the corrugated box industry with heavy experience in electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics and electricity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervises employees in everyday coordination, execution and planning of maintenance efforts, including a 24/7 maintenance team.
• Report to Manufacturing Manager any information that may impede plant operation, while providing technical expertise on equipment and facilities.
• Initiate and/or maintain a cost-effective preventive maintenance program and implement quality improvement ideas.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to achieve desired results.
• Manage machine reliability initiatives.
• Maintain adequate inventories of spare parts and materials.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Make data driven decisions.
• Identify safety issues and take proactive measures.
• Plan, schedule and monitor timely completion of work orders.
• Maintain good relationships with management, supervisors and hourly staff.
• Promote good housekeeping.
• Communicate positively.
• Participate in safety and environmental audits.
