Job summary

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional Area Administrator of Permanency Services to oversee Permanency Team Supervisors and provide leadership in regional child welfare. The role coordinates planning and supports field offices to ensure continuity of care and services.

The ideal candidate will hold an MSW or related master’s degree with several years of administrative child welfare experience.

Qualifications

• Requires MSW or master’s degree in a related human services field, business administration, or a juris doctorate.
• Requires four years of progressively responsible administrative child welfare experience with an MSW OR five years with a related master’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, and oversees administration and integration of comprehensive child welfare services for assigned areas within the region.
• Directs, coordinates, and reviews the activities of program personnel.
• Advises the Regional Administrator of program needs and achievements, developing strategies to address problems.
