Job summary

AEC Resources in Minneapolis is seeking an Architectural Technical Lead / Job Captain to lead model development and documentation on national projects. You’ll drive design development, coordinate with structural, MEP, and other disciplines, and advance drawings through SD, DD, and CDs, ensuring construction documentation quality and compliance.

Ideal candidates bring 6–10+ years of experience, strong Revit skills, and a track record of solving complex technical challenges while mentoring junior

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of architectural design and documentation experience.
• Revit proficiency across schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
• Ability to develop and coordinate complete architectural drawing packages- SD, DD, CDs.
• Understanding of building systems, construction detailing, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural model development and construction documentation using Revit
• Advance projects through design development, construction documents, permitting, and construction
• Independently identify technical design issues and implement practical solutions
• Coordinate architectural designs with structural, mechanical, electrical, and other engineering disciplines
• Resolve design conflicts and maintain consistency across project documents
• Manage technical deliverables to meet project schedules and milestones
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers on complex, large-scale developments
