Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Roseville, CA seeks an experienced Specification Writer III to join the Pacific Building Science + Infrastructure team. You will research materials, develop detailed specifications, and ensure alignment with codes and project requirements.

You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams, reviewing drawings and coordinating with multiple disciplines to prepare comprehensive project manuals. This is a senior, detail-oriented role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's preferred.
• 8+ years of architectural/specification writing experience.
• Minimum 6 years of Architectural or Commercial Interiors.
• 3 years of increased responsibility in writing/editing AIA MasterFormat specs.
• CSI membership; CDT certification a plus; Licensure a plus.
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams in researching product materials and manufacturers for architectural projects.
• Prepare and write specifications for projects; ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Coordinate with design teams and consultants on project manuals and divisions.
• Review submittals and substitutions; maintain in-house MasterSpec masters.
• Educate design teams on product selections and design considerations.
