Job summary

NewGround, a leading design and delivery firm, seeks a Senior Architectural Specialist to lead construction documents and BIM support. You will coordinate with outsourced civil/mechanical/electrical/interior teams and manage permit processes, ensuring high-quality detailing across multi-story projects.

You will mentor junior staff, support BIM adoption, and work closely with design, operations, and IT teams to optimize workflows across the studio.

Qualifications

• Architectural License required, NCARB preferred.
• Multiple State Licenses preferred.
• 10+ years of professional experience in commercial architecture.
• LEED AP and WELL AP credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare working drawings for construction documents.
• Coordinate with the Design Architect on project design.
• Coordinate with Project Executives, Marketing and Business Development on delivery.
• Lead client design meetings during appropriate phases.
• Coordinate with local AHJs and submit drawings for permit.
• Assist in contract change orders and RFIs, review submittals.
