Jacobs is seeking a Senior Architectural SME for the U.S. data center portfolio, combining architectural leadership with client-facing direction to shape design strategy.

The role requires 20+ years in architecture, including 15+ in mission‑critical or data centers, and a Licensed Architect RA.

You will mentor teams, drive design excellence across site, envelope, BIM, and MEP, and support reviews, QA, and construction administration with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of architectural experience, including 15+ years in mission-critical or data center environments.
• Licensed Architect (RA).
• Expertise in site planning, building envelope systems, modular construction, and BIM coordination.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and sustainability frameworks.
• Preference for hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data center programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior architectural leadership across multiple programs, guiding design quality and consistency.
• Shape upfront planning strategies with hyperscale clients and drive innovation in modularization, envelopes, sustainability, and integrated systems.
• Represent Jacobs in client engagements, industry forums, and strategic pursuits to win and shape complex programs.
• Mentor architects across the data center practice and support thought leadership.
• Balance strategy with hands-on involvement: support design reviews, QA, and construction administration.
