Job summary

TESSERE is seeking a registered architect in Wichita, KS to manage client relationships, develop proposals and designs, and oversee budgeting, preparation, and delivery of renovation, remodel, expansion, and new construction projects. You will lead production, management, and supervision to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery reporting to a senior architect.

Qualifications

• Licensed architect in at least one state in the U.S.
• Client management experience required.
• Project leadership and management experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Project Schedule).
• Proficiency with Deltek project and resource management tools preferred.
• Revit knowledge beneficial.
• NCARB certified or eligible for reciprocity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet directly with the client to analyze goals and conceive architectural solutions.
• Plan the project budget, milestones, and schedule and track progress.
• Initiate and develop schematic designs and plans with drawing preparation.
• Coordinate workload through design development and construction document phases.
• Direct and coordinate with engineering disciplines and vendors; review documents for conflicts.
• Write or edit owner-provided architectural specifications.
• Plan, initiate, and run project meetings and issue minutes.
• Ensure code and accessibility compliance across building standards.
• Coordinate addenda, ASIs, RFIs, and change orders; incorporate changes.
• Analyze and negotiate pay applications and change orders.
• Report project completion for billing and lead collections if needed.
• Provide supervision and guidance to team members.
