Job summary

TESSERE seeks a licensed registered architect to lead client relationships and oversee renovation, remodel, expansion, and new construction projects from proposal through delivery. The role involves budgeting, planning, schematic design, and coordination across disciplines to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes.

The candidate should have strong communication skills, experience in managing multiple projects, and be able to navigate complex codes and sustainability considerations.

Qualifications

• Licensed architect in at least one U.S. state.
• Client management and project leadership experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Project Schedule).
• Deltek and Revit knowledge preferred.
• NCARB certification or reciprocal licensing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet directly with the client to analyze goals and develop architectural solutions.
• Plan project budget, milestones, and schedule; track performance.
• Initiate schematic designs and plans; prepare drawings.
• Coordinate workload through design development and construction documents.
• Direct with engineering disciplines and third-party vendors; review docs for conflicts.
• Write or edit owner-provided architectural specifications.
• Plan and run project meetings; issue minutes.
• Ensure code and accessibility compliance across multiple codes.
• Coordinate addenda, ASI, RFIs, WCPRs, change orders; incorporate changes into docs.
• Analyze and negotiate pay applications and change orders.
• Report project completion for billing; approve invoices; lead collections.
• Provide supervision and guidance to team members.
